About the artist:
The London based Dutch Iekeliene Stange, born on the July 27th, 1984.
The art-school graduate Stange is flirting with the idea of moving to Berlin in order to concentrate on her art.
projektGALERIE is holding an exclusive exhibition of Stange’s photography on the occasion of the Berlin Fashion Week.
Following the success of our past shows “Mario Borsato by Andy Warhol”, “Bahnhof Zoo” by Fumi Nagasaka and “Vision of the Ghost” by Francis A. Willey, pGs now presents “I Like Ponies.” Iekeliene Stange invites us to share her unusual sense of humor with a series of Polaroids. The exhibition opens on the occasion of the opening of our Sales & Shopping boutique.
Having documented the goings on backstage at fashion shows for several years, Iekeliene is noted for her against-the-grain approach. Now she will be exhibiting some of her most personal work.
Through the medium of the instant photograph, this exhibition provides an insight to Iekelienes everyday, a compact referent of her world. It will consist of colorful instant photographs, offering a taste of the absurd, and surreal world within which she lives and works.
